CCHS Bruin News

Have a Great Summer Bruins!!

Camden County High School will hold its pre-season mandatory student-athlete/parent meeting on Thurs. July 31st at 6:00pm in the gym at the high school.  This will be the only general session meeting held this year and is for all sports (winter and spring coaches will meet with their players and parents prior to their season to discuss team rules only) and is a requirement of the NCHSAA.  We will have break-out meetings for fall sports only (football, volleyball, soccer, cross country, and cheering) after the general session. If you have any questions, please call Scott Jones, athletic director, at 252-619-0810.

Fall Sports practices will begin at Camden County High School on the following dates and times.  All prospective student-athletes must have a current physical on file, show proof of insurance, and have passed at least 3 of 4 subjects during the Spring Semester 2014.

Football: Fri. Aug. 1st (7:00-10:00am) in the field house at the high school
Volleyball:  Fri. Aug 1st, (5:00-7:00pm) in the gym at the high school.
Men's Soccer:  Fri. Aug. 1st (5:00-7:00pm) at the Community Park
Men's and Women's Cross Country:  Mon. Aug. 11th (6:00-7:30pm) at the track behind Camden Intermediate School

Bruin Focus
To increase tutoring opportunities for our students, Freshman Focus will now be open to all students on Wednesdays from 3:15 – 4:15. This is a great opportunity for students to make-up time for attendance, catch up on work, or just get a little extra help. All students are encouraged to attend these sessions.

Online Bullying Report
There is a new form for reporting bullying. The form is completely anonymous and easy to complete. It can be found under Links.

Recycling…Recycling containers have placed around the school for aluminum and plastics. Remind students to use these containers. Also, hold on to any office mix and/or cardboard. Students will be coming by regularly to collect this.

State Board of Education recognizes the Camden County School System and Camden County High School for having a graduation rate in the top 10 in the state.  This recognition will be held at the North Carolina Department of Education in Raleigh

Attention Driver's Education Students

Kelly Stallings is the NC Driver's Education Coordinator for Camden County High School. The CTHS office is the NC Driver's Education Coordinator for Camtech High School.
